"Dr. Ellsworth performed a Flap surgical procedure on me. I had a stage 4 isheal pressure ulcer that required removal of tissue to the bone. I then had to lay on my side for 5 weeks in an LTAC facility.Dr. Ellsworth and his staff took very good care of me pre and post-op, which was over 1 year. He has an exceptional bedside manner. He and his entire staff are very professional. He takes time with his patients. In addition, Dr. Ellsworth did a procedure on our 22 year old son to remove excess skin from his tummy after he lost 65 lbs."- B.V. / Google / Jul 30, 2016
"Cannot recommend Dr. Ellsworth and his team enough. As a woman looking for good recommendations for a Mommy makeover, I only had Instagram posts to go by as many women aren’t openly recommending this procedure on Google reviews as they are public and not anonymous. However, my family is in the medical industry and Dr. Ellsworth comes highly recommended by other doctors because he puts your safety and wishes FIRST. I had one other consult with a popular Houston Plastic Surgeon on Instagram and honestly, I didn’t feel “heard”. Most plastic surgeons have their own aesthetic, and they say go to a surgeon who matches your aesthetic goals. Well, Dr. Ellsworth listens to YOU and matches YOUR aesthetic goals. As it should be! Dr. Ellsworth does not have many pictures online anywhere but let me tell you, I could not be happier with my results thus far and I am only 11 weeks post-op. My first stage I had a circumferential abdominoplasty and a buttock aug, NOT a BBL. He does a different procedure because BBLs are dangerous! (Google them). I also think BBLs don’t look natural and I wanted a natural looking result. I LOVE my results!! His bedside manner and his support staff has made this an amazing experience. Carina Nelson (his PA) is also the best!! I have staged my procedures as this was recommended. I have lost excessive weight and he wants to take time to make sure it is done as I wanted and safely. I cannot wait to see my results after stage 2 is done this summer. I get SOOOOOOOOOO many compliments already on stage 1 and I tell anyone who comments that it was with the help of an amazing plastic surgeon!! I have no shame! After 3 kids and losing 80lbs, I couldn’t look this good without Dr.Ellsworth and Carina!! Thank you!!! I will update after stage 2, I expect it to be an equally amazing experience. Do yourself a favor and definitely go in for a consult with Dr. Ellsworth and his staff if you are shopping around for a plastic surgeon, you will NOT regret it!"- K.M. / Office Visit / Jun 07, 2022
Facebook / Nov 30, 2021
"If you’re looking for a plastic surgeon who is attentive, professional and has genuine bedside manner, look no further. You will be in good hands. My mommy makeover was easy and my recovery was a breeze! Dr. Ellsworth and his team of amazing PAs, nurses and front office staff were amazing. I am pleased and thrilled with my results!!"- A.A. / Google / Nov 21, 2021

Who is an Ideal Candidate for Liposuction?
Liposuction is a good procedure for men and women who are at a healthy weight but have pesky areas of fat that have been hard to lose with exercise and diet. Individuals contemplating liposuction should have skin that is taut because liposuction does not address loose or sagging skin. It is also important to realize that liposuction is not an answer to losing weight. Women having liposuction should be past pregnancies as this could compromise the results. During your initial consultation, Dr. Ellsworth will discuss realistic expectations.
How is Liposuction Surgery Performed?
Surgical liposuction is performed as an outpatient procedure with the patient under general anesthesia. A very small incision is made in the skin and a cannula will be placed. A cannula is a tool that helps loosen the fat as it is being removed. Once the fatty deposits have been suctioned out, Dr. Ellsworth will close the incision. Depending on the number of areas receiving treatment, your surgery could last 1 – 3 hours. In the dedicated recovery area, your post-op team will help manage any pain and care for your incisions until you are discharged.
What Can Patients Expect Following Liposuction?
You may need to recover at home from lipo for 1 – 3 weeks based on the number of areas treated and the size of the treatment area. It is normal to see swelling and bruising for 1 – 2 weeks, and you can have the sutures removed in 7 – 10 days. What is most important after having lipo surgery is to allow your body time to recover and heal. When you are ready to return to work after your procedure, you need to remember to go slow. To build up your strength, stick to short walks and light workouts as advised by Dr. Ellsworth. Keep in mind, you may see some changes after six weeks, but it takes 6 – 10 months before your new body shape and contour are attained.
How much does liposuction cost?
The price of liposuction varies based on the technique being used and how many areas are being addressed. In your consultation, Dr. Ellsworth will create your custom liposuction surgical plan based on your needs and goals. He will also take into consideration your budget. Once your plan is ready, estimated costs can be discussed. To help make your cosmetic surgery affordable, Ellsworth Plastic Surgery accepts several payment options, and we can help you find low-interest financing.
What about nonsurgical liposuction?
There are many nonsurgical options to reduce fat. Some of the most popular brands are CoolSculpting®, UltraShape®, Vanquish™, KYBELLA®, and Liposonix®. While these nonsurgical treatments may help some patients reduce small amounts of fat, liposuction is best for most people. Liposuction surgery produces more consistent and dramatic results.
Does liposuction address cellulite and loose skin?
Surgical liposuction only corrects excess fat in the body. For loose skin, Dr. Ellsworth may recommend combining liposuction with a lift surgery. Liposuction is often done with skin tightening surgery, such as a tummy tuck, thighplasty, or arm lift, to give you the best results. To correct cellulite, there are many minimally invasive and nonsurgical treatment options, including VelaShape®, Cellulaze™, VASER® Shape, and Venus Freeze™. During your consultation, tell Dr. Ellsworth about all your concerns like loose skin and cellulite — so your best treatment plan is created.
Will liposuction leave scars?
Since liposuction is an invasive surgery, incisions will be made and sutured. These will cause scars, but Dr. Ellsworth does his best to reduce their appearance. This starts with making small, thin incisions in less visible areas or the natural folds of your body. After your surgery, Dr. Ellsworth or a member of his team will explain how to care for your stitches — so they heal flat and eventually fade.
Will my results last?
Before liposuction, it is important to be prepared to maintain your results. Although liposuction reduces the number of fat cells in your body, you can still lose and gain weight. Dr. Ellsworth recommends that you be at or close to a healthy weight before having liposuction. Afterward, it is best to remain within 5 – 10 pounds of your post-surgical weight. Getting pregnant after liposuction will also affect your results; however, a second surgery like a mommy makeover can be performed to refresh your body.
